- Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award - Level 4 - $80,800 - $85,000 per annum (Depending on Qualifications and Experience) + Superannuation
- Personal (Sick) Leave
- Five weeks annual leave, with 17.5% leave loading

About The Role:
Reporting to the Director Infrastructure & Environment, the Business Support Officer provides confidential, efficient and professional administrative assistance across the planning, coordination and management of Directorate activities. The role covers correspondence and diary management, briefing preparation, call screening, and coordination of reports and requests to ensure the Director's commitments and the Directorate's responsibilities are met on time.
About You:
We are seeking a proactive, highly organised administrator who can manage competing priorities, work confidently across a range of stakeholders, and handle sensitive information with sound judgement.
You will demonstrate:
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide accurate, timely advice to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to set priorities and manage activities against departmental goals
- High-level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- A high level of confidentiality, tact and discretion when handling sensitive correspondence and matters
- Practical computer skills, including Windows-based software and financial management systems
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a high-performing environment
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- An understanding of record-keeping and WHS practices
Mandatory Requirements
- Current QLD Driver's Licence
- Current 30215 Queensland General Safety Induction Card, or willingness to obtain
Desirable
- Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role within a Local Government setting
